10 things to look for come opening day
With the opener against Buffalo less than two weeks away, fans are excited to get their first look at the 2007 Scarlet Knights. Here are some of the changes, question marks, and other topics that will dominate talk through the opening kickoff:
A new middle linebacker
It is still unclear whether it will be Chris Quaye, Blair Bines or perhaps even Damaso Munoz lining up in Devraun Thompson's old position. Quaye began running with the first team defense at the beginning of camp. Yet according to head coach Greg Schiano, none of those three have done enough to lock up the starting spot. If Bines or Munoz can't do anything to stand out in the next week, look for Quaye to line up in the middle against Buffalo.
A new tight end approach
The days of seeing Clark Harris line up at tight end are over. Halfway through summer practice, none of this year's candidates have put together enough to be crowned the starter. Shamar Graves, Kevin Brock and Chris Rudonavic could all share time until one can rise above the others in game situations. There could be a three headed monster at tight end.
