99-yard TD, goal line success in Mon. p.m. practice

The highlight of today's afternoon practice, and perhaps the entire fall to date, was a 99-yard touchdown pass to Darnell Jenkins.

The offense was working on a drill in 11-on-11's coming out from its own goal line.

Jenkins tore downfield and was picked up by safety Kenny Phillips.

Phillips got a finger on the deep pass, but Jenkins then secured it and raced into the end zone.

"We were all the way back there," Jenkins said. "It might have been 100 yards."
