Georgia's biggest offensive lineman on the 2007 football team is Jeffersonville, Georgia native Chris Little. Little came to Athens a bit overweight, but he has been working on slimming down in preparation for the upcoming season.
Currently, Little is not able to participate in most of practice due to offseason wrist surgery and he is wearing a cast on his wrist. Little will probably not be able to take any contact until the end of fall camp.
UGASports caught up Little to see how he is healing and if he is headed for a redshirt year.
How did you hurt your wrist?
"I hurt my wrist during the football season last year. After a couple of days it was swollen, but then it went back down. I really did not pay much attention to it afterwards, except it kept bothering me and I thought, this thing is not healing. When I got here I got x-rays and they saw I had a broken bone, so I had to have surgery on it."
Do you think this will be a redshirt year because of your wrist injury and the lack of experience you working in the offense?
"I am not really sure yet, because we are kind of thin on the offensive line right now. I will not just be playing guard. I will play some tackle, and who knows, they might move me down to center because we are so thin on the offensive line."
