Franks knows making plays means playing time
While most in the state of Oklahoma had known about Dominique Franks' talent for quite some time, his performance in the spring put people on alert that the redshirt freshman defensive back was much more than a high school phenom. The 6-foot-1, 178-pound defensive back starred as a safety, but is also moonlighting at corner. What are his thoughts on the Sooners much anticipated 2007 season?
Josh McCuistion: How do you feel going into your second fall?
Dominique Franks: I feel a whole lot better, my head isn't in the clouds so much. Now I know what to do to prepare myself to be able to get on this field and help the team win.
JM: You surprised a lot of people in the spring, what did you try and focus on through spring drills?
DF: Just really staying focused and not getting down on myself, because I wasn't out there as fit as I wanted to be. Just being patient, learning the defense more and put myself in a better situation to play.
