What Type of Offense will CMU run and who are the key players?

The Offense will be a shotgun three-wide set with either a two-back set or a tight end/one-back set. The key players will be sophomore quarterback Dan LeFevour who was the 2006 MAC Freshman of the Year, and All-MAC First Team Selection, Motor City Bowl MVP, and the CMU single-season record holder for passing yards, TD Passes, and total offense.

LeFevour returns his top target in sophomore wide receiver Bryan Anderson, who was an All-MAC First Team selection and led CMU in receptions with 73 and receiving yards with 867. Andrew Hartline, a junior, will lead the offensive line after losing two NFL draftees in Joe Staley and Drew Mormino. Hartline played right tackle last season, but may move to left tackle in replace of Staley.

What Type of Defense will CMU run and who are the key players?

CMU will run a standard 4-3 defense with the key players being senior linebacker Red Keith, who led CMU in tackles the last two seasons and was an All-MAC selection in 2006. Joining Keith is senior linebacker Ike Brown, who was hurt last season with a knee injury, but had 73 tackles, 11.5 tackles for loss, and three sacks in 2005 as an All-MAC selection.
