Irish eye Ohio prospects
CLEVELAND - With the evaluation period underway college coaches have been hot on the recruiting trail. The latest stop featured 120 of the Buckeye state's top players during the Elite Training Camp at Browns Stadium.
Included in that collection of talent were three players that have been hearing from Notre Dame: wide receiver/cornerback D.J. Woods, defensive lineman Jake Stoller and linebacker Brandon Beachum.
Watching the camp from the sidelines was Notre Dame assistant coach Brian Polian, who also made trips to several high schools in the area.
Beachum, a 6-foot-1, 220-pounder from Youngstown Cardinal Mooney, holds offers from Florida State, LSU, Oklahoma, Penn State and several others but still had a desire to go head-to-head with the rest of the linebackers.
