Florida star discusses his interest in OSU
The Buckeyes have extended a scholarship offer to a number of outstanding linebacker prospects in hopes of signing at least two great ones come February. One they would love to land is Miami (Fla.) Krop star Etienne Sabino.
The 6-foot-3 and 228-pound Sabino is one of the top prospects in the talent rich Sunshine State. Sabino was a varsity starter at defensive end for Miami Beach his freshman year. He has played linebacker for Krop the past two seasons, making 131 tackles including eight sacks his junior season.
Recruiters have had no trouble finding Sabino after his transfer from Miami Beach to Krop.
One of those offers is from the Buckeyes. While Sabino says he is definitely interested in Ohio State, the Buckeyes have some catching up to do.
When asked about other schools he is interested in, Sabino said, North Carolina leads a group that also includes Notre Dame, Tennessee, Florida, Miami, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Louisville, UCF, Auburn, Duke and N.C. State.
