Tim Biere scores first offer
In a sign of what a strong year for football recruits it is shaping up to be in the state of Nebraska, Omaha (Neb.) Westside tight end Tim Biere became the fifth high school prospect to receive a Division I offer. The 6-foot-4, 235-pound Biere hauled in 29 passes for 456 yards and nine touchdowns as a junior while playing on a star-studded Warrior team that finished as the Class A state runner-up in 2006.
As for his current favorites, Biere has four schools on his short list: Kansas State, Iowa, Iowa State and Nebraska.
