Shrine Bowl combines got under away Saturday with prospects from the Southeastern portion of the state converging on Richmond County Senior High School in Rockingham, N.C. And Brown was the star of the show.

Although smallish in size at 5-foot-7, 148 pounds, Brown posted blistering times in the 40-yard dash. With two stopwatches on him for his first run, Brown, who plays primary running back in high school but will be a wide receiver or defensive back in college, was timed by one at 4.17 seconds and the other at 4.19 seconds. The second time around Brown was asked to run last and by himself with six watches on him. His average was 4.23 seconds.
