Great Scott can he run

One of the most wanted players in the west, north, south and east this recruiting season is without doubt running back Darrell Scott (6-0, 215, 4.4) from Ventura (Calif.) Saint Bonaventure. He already has over 20 offers and it is only March. That is a bundle at this time of year for a western player.

Scott has offers on the table from a virtual who's who of college football royalty. The latest three offers have come from Notre Dame, LSU and Minnesota.

Those three schools join the likes of Arizona, Arizona State, Cal, UCLA, USC, Washington, Washington State, Michigan, Ole Miss, Florida, Ole Miss, Texas and Texas A&M.

As impressive as that list of offers is Scott would like to see other schools in the mix.

"I would like to get offers from Ohio State, Virginia Tech, and West Virginia," Scott said. "I like West Virginia because they run the spread offense like Florida.

"Ohio State has a history of good running backs," Scott said. "They always have an offensive line filled with hogs.

"Virginia Tech used to be my favorite school because of Michael Vick."
