Getting to know signee Devan Johnson

Devan Johnson was Mr. Versatile during his high school career at Pittsburgh (Pa.) Woodland Hills.

The 6-foot-1, 230-pounder saw action at running back, fullback, tight end, halfback, wide receiver, linebacker, defensive end and kick returner.

We caught up with Johnson and asked him a variety of questions as part of our series of Q&A's with the Buffaloes' 2007 signees.

I know I have asked you this before, but what was it that really made Colorado stand out in your recruiting process?
Devan Johnson: "It felt like a home away from home. But the thing that really stood out about them is the fact they play in a tough conference like the Big 12. There are a lot of great teams in the conference. I felt comfortable with the whole coaching staff and the players were cool so it was just a great situation overall."

If you didn't end up signing with CU, where do you think you would have signed?
"Probably Temple"

What is your favorite part or aspect of Boulder?
"The mountains; that was the main thing that stood out. I like the overall atmosphere out there."
