Trip shows parents more about OU
Since picking up an early offer from Oklahoma, few players have had Sooners fans feeling as good as Argyle (Texas) Liberty Christian offensive center Ben Habern. The 6-foot-3, 260-pound first-team all-state selection was another of the star studded group in Norman this weekend.
Habern had made numerous trips to central Oklahoma, but this time was as much for his parents as himself.
In spite of close to half a dozen trips to Norman, there was one thing that junior day did provide Habern with an opportunity to do for the first time.
The group of prospects included Justin Johnson, Stephen Good, J.B. Shugarts and Sam McGuffie. The group knew of each other and had met in passing numerous times but it was their first time to really be around one another.
