Bulaga ready for signing day
Almost nine months after verbally committing to Iowa, offensive lineman Bryan Bulaga is excited to finally make it official as he will sign with the Hawkeyes next week on national signing day. HawkeyeReport.com caught up with the 6-foot-5, 270-pound Bulaga, who Rivals.com ranks among the top 100 prospects in the nation, for a Q&A session with signing day just around the corner.
Q: What is signing day going to mean to you next week?
BULAGA: It's going to mean a ton. It's going to be just a big burden off my shoulders with this whole recruiting thing. It's been long and strenuous and all that type of stuff, so it's going to be good to get it done with and officially be a Hawkeye. Then I'll just prepare for the summer knowing that I officially have a home. It's a great feeling.
Q: Looking back, what are your overall thoughts on the recruiting process?
BULAGA: If I look back, I would have done it the same way I did. Iowa was the place I wanted from the first day I went there and nothing would have changed that. Besides the other schools coming in and all the rumors - I wish that wouldn't have started up because that really got hectic - but I wouldn't change a thing. Iowa was my school from day one.
Rivals.com ranks Bryan Bulaga as the No. 6 offensive tackle in the nation and the No. 70 top player overall, regardless of position. The four-star prospect is the No. 2 prep in the state of Illinois this year.
