Keeping with a family tradition
Growing up in a family that includes two former Gator players, it may have always been assumed that the school Ocala (Fla.) Trinity Catholic quarterback John Brantley signed with would have orange as a primary color. There for awhile it looked as though it would be the burnt orange of the Texas Longhorns rather than the brighter orange worn by the Florida Gators.
Back in April, Brantley originally committed to Texas before realizing right before Christmas, that home - or more specifically the University of Florida - is where the heart is.
The 6-foot-3, 190-pound, Rivals100 member returned to a place he knows well when he officially visited Florida this past weekend.
