Purdue leads for New Orleans LB

New Orleans (La.) Edna Karr linebacker Korey Williams currently is on an official visit to Purdue. The standout arrived in West Lafayette, Ind., on Saturday because of a conflict with basketball Friday night and will depart early Monday morning. Williams checked in with Rivals.com Sunday night to give a status on his trip.

"It's nice up here," he said. "I've liked everything about this visit, everything. I didn't expect it to be like this."

Williams' weekend in West Lafayette has been full of activities.

"I toured the campus, met with some academic people and talked about that side of things," he said. "I've also met with all the coaches. I met with (head coach) Joe Tiller, Coach Mark Hagen, the linebackers coach and Coach Brock Spack went over the defense and he was telling me what I was going to do if I come here."
