Russell outshines Quinn
JaMarcus Russell passed his first test for the NFL scouts in the Sugar Bowl on Wednesday night.
If Russell decides to make himself eligible for the draft, his final game at LSU was one of the best of his career.
Playing in the national spotlight on the same field as the guy projected to be the first quarterback to be picked in the draft, Russell passed for a career-high 332 yards and two touchdowns in the Tigers' 41-14 victory against Notre Dame.
"Let's wait for (Russell)," said LSU coach Les Miles, before beginning the post-game press conference. "We wouldn't have gone very far if we didn't have him tonight."
