Gettis enjoys trip to Columbia

After a few visits to Missouri this season, and after a mid-season commitment, Carl Gettis took his official visit to Missouri this past weekend. After the trip, Gettis was happy with everything he saw. Gettis credited his host for feeling at home.

Along with current players like Maclin, Gettis said that he enjoyed getting to know some of his fellow class of 2007 teammates. He added that out of everything about the weekend, the bond the class formed in one weekend is a good start for them all.

Gettis said that he also got a chance to sit down with a few of the coaches while in town. He said he enjoyed speaking with the coaches and knowing that they wanted him in Columbia.

Gettis added that he spoke some with the coaches about where he would play at Missouri, and although nothing was set in stone, Gettis said that he was excited that he would get a chance wherever he wanted.

Gettis added that he was excited to attend a school that he could see that not only cared about the athletes, but all students who would be on campus.
