Miami commit evaluating options?

Mobile (Ala.) McGill-Toolen cornerback Phelon Jones is one of the best cornerbacks in the nation, and he is no longer a solid commitment to Miami.

When Miami fired coach Larry Coker, Jones, 6-foot-1, 185 pounds, 4.4 in the 40-yard dash, decided to reopen his recruiting and now has at least six schools he is looking at, including Miami. Auburn, Arkansas, LSU, Florida and Virginia Tech are now Jones' options.

Rivals.com rates him the No. 13 athlete in the nation, a four-star recruit, among the Top 250 players in the nation and the No. 4 player in Alabama.
