Sash reflects on senior season
Future Hawkeye Tyler Sash is done with football season and on to basketball this month. The 6-foot-1, 190-pound Sash, who is an all-star performer in both sports as well as track, had a big year on the gridiron with 1,173 yards rushing and 701 yards receiving with a total of 28 touchdowns.
For his career, the talented senior finished with more than 2,000 yards both rushing and receiving and scored a total of 61 touchdowns. On the defensive side of the ball, Sash had 161 tackles and eight interceptions during his three-year varsity career.
Now it is on to basketball season for Sash, as he looks to improve upon Oskaloosa's 10-12 record last season. The senior, who averaged more than 25 points per game last year, likes the look of his team as they begin practice this month.
Sash, who will play safety at Iowa, made it to six of the Hawkeyes' home games this season. The senior said he stays in regular contact with Iowa assistant coach and in-state recruiter Reese Morgan and plans to make his official visit to Iowa City on December 8.
