Cal Bears need overtime to defeat Huskies

No one gave the Washington Huskies a chance to win the game at Berkeley, California on Saturday. No one expected Washington to hold Cal to just three points at half time. No one except the Huskies themselves. Unfortunately for the Dawgs, close doesn't count, and Cal was able to find themselves in the end.


But the Dawgs came to play, the defense held the potent Cal offense to 39 yards at the half, and the Washington offense put up some points of their own. The game looked all but over when Cal took the lead in the game with less than two minutes to go, but Carl Bonnell took his team down field and into the end zone.
