Jones now a dual-threat
As the quarterback at Oklahoma City, Okla., Millwood last season, Gerald Jones' job was to pick up yards with his legs. This season, the 6-foot, 185-pounder has turned into a dual-threat and through seven games he has already accounted for over 2,000 yards of offense.
"We're 6-1 right now," Jones said. "I'm 58 of 95 for 1,215 passing yards. I don't know how many carries I have but I have 901 rushing yards. I've really improved my passing this year. A lot of teams thought I was just a running quarterback because I had so many rushing yards and not really any passing yards last year. But I've improved on passing the most this year."
