Vols in the Mix for Illinois Four-Star
Tennessee isn't in the position of absolutely having to sign another running back in the class of 2007. The Vols have commitments from a couple of prospects who could project at the position, but it also seems apparent that if the staff can snare the kind of player it considers a difference-maker, like Chicago's Robert Hughes, they won't hesitate to sign another.
Hughes (5-foot-11, 226 pounds, 4.6 40-yard dash), from Chicago's Hubbard High School, is easily considered one of the top prospects in the Midwest, and has the kind of programs chasing him that goes along with that sort of status. The Vols had great success in the Windy City last year though, plucking Ramone Johnson out of Big Ten country, but doing the same with Hughes might be tough pull.
