Cavalier Q and A

For an insider's look at Virginia, Devils Illustrated turned to's Chris Wallace for his thoughts on the matchup with Duke.

Devils Illustrated: Virginia certainly hasn't gotten off to the start it envisioned, largely because of an unproductive offense. Does the blame lie at the feet of a poor running game or has the uncertainty at quarterback been the main issue?

Wallace: The offense for Virginia certainly has been a problem thus far. The quarterback situation, with three guys having seen significant action, is an easy target for blame, but really the inability of the Cavaliers' offensive line to perform at a level high enough to this stage has been the biggest problem. That has also hurt the running attack and put more pressure on the quarterback who is n the game. There is some talent up front for Virginia, but that unit has performed poorly.
