Burns waiting for offer to materialize
The thin situation involving the Oklahoma quarterback position has gone from an interest to an absolute obsession by the Sooners brethren over the past few weeks. With a few names beginning to surface as plausible targets the evaluation process has long begun in finding the top target the Oklahoma coaching staff will chase after for a commitment this recruiting season.
Scholarships have been at a premium at all positions for the Sooners over the past few months, but the staff has been especially stingy with offers towards potential quarterback prospects. Fort Smith (Ark.) Northside dual-threat play caller Kodi Burns has been one of the few quarterbacks the Sooners coaching staff has been focused on over the past few weeks.
Burns was adamant about focusing on his top two schools until he had reason to consider Oklahoma.
