Offense looks good in scrimmage

Wednesday marked the last practice media and fans can see the Jayhawks on the field until they open the season against Northwestern State.

If it was judged as a boxing match the overall decision would have gone to the offense. In a year the offense has made great strides under an experienced line, a talented freshman quarterback, and a quick group of running backs.

The best offensive play may have come from the second unit when Adam Barmann connected with Jeff Foster for a touchdown over the middle that went close to 70 yards.

Another big catch was turned in by Derek Fine hauling in a Kerry Meier for a touchdown.

Another good catch was turned in by Marcus Herford who made a 10-yard grab then added another 10 yards after the catch.
