Position Battles: Linebacker
One of the few positions on the 2006 Georgia football without any major question marks is the linebacker group. After G-Day, the group looked thin, facing major uncertainty with only five returning players and some unproven freshman. The suspension of Dannell Ellerbe loomed over the unit, but with Ellerbe back in the picture, and four freshman vying for playing time this group is now the strongest unit on the team, and Darius Dewberry is the first in line.
The team has four players that could start on any SEC team in seniors Jarvis Jackson, Tony Taylor, Danny Verdun, and junior Brandon Miller.
