Brown plans on being best back in the state

When you are one of the state's best athletes, it helps when you can play multiple positions at the next level.


One of the Magnolia state's best running backs is finding that out this summer. Charleston's Johnny Brown is expected to put up even bigger numbers this year since his high school football coach has already said that he will carry a bigger load for his team this fall.


Brown has been nagged by a pulled hamstring for most of the summer and only participated in one camp - the senior camp at Ole Miss.


"That's the only camp I went to, I am committed to Ole Miss," Brown said. "I'm not sure right now if I will take any other visits or not - it will depend on a couple of things - how much I hear from Ole Miss is one of the key things and how happy they are to have me."
