PA back hoping for VT offer this week

One player that may earn an offer with the Hokies this week is running back Robbie Frey. The Lehighton, Pa., prospect felt he had a good performance at the Virginia Tech camp over the weekend.

"I had a good visit," he said. "I liked the way the school was setup and it's a really nice place with a great stadium. On my visit, I met most of the staff including Frank Beamre, Bryan Stinespring and Billy Hite. The coaches seemed interested in me and I should find out word about an offer in the next day or two. I have to give coach Hite a call."

Frey felt pretty confident with his performance at the camp.

"It went well," he said. "I went through a variety of drills and see how they coach their players there. In the 40-yard dash, I ran it in 4.45-seconds. I was very happy with that and then felt good about how I did in the one-on-ones. I showed coach Hite what I am capable of."
