DL Thomsen will catch ISU's late camp

Elkhorn (Neb.) defensive lineman Kevin Thomsen has the first offer of the recruiting process out of the way and is now looking to earn more via summer camps. He has six total camps planned for the summer, with two of those already having been attended. Now knowing what coaches are looking for out of him at these camps, Thomsen is ready to continue taking his game to higher levels.

The first camp the 6-foot-2, 250-pound Thomsen attended was at Iowa. That was a special, one-day, invited only camp just for seniors. On Monday, Thomsen traveled to Nebraska's camp for a day where he tested in the 40-yard dash at 4.9 seconds and the pro-agility shuttle at 4.58.

At the end of this week, Thomsen will head to Lawrence, Kansas for the Kansas camp. At the end of the month he will go down to Manhattan for the Kansas State camp, and in the month of July he will camp at Colorado State and Iowa State. He also plans to make an unofficial visit to Wyoming, the one school that has already offered.
