Kansas linebacker has strong U-M interest
With Michigan signing four linebackers in last year's recruiting class, the list of top prospects at the position for 2007 has remained relatively short up to this point. However, one top prospect with a serious interest in the Maize and Blue is Overland Park (Kan.) St. Thomas Aquinas standout Brian Smith, who stands in at 6-3, 220 pounds.
Being heavily recruited by a number of top programs, Smith has collected written scholarship offers from Washington, Michigan State, Kansas State, Kansas, Missouri, Texas Tech, Arizona State, Texas Tech, and Kentucky. He has also been verbally offered by the Purdue Boilermakers.
