Frogs pursuing Davis

Coming off an impressive season that saw the Horned Frogs finish in the top-10 in the coaches' poll, the TCU coaches have taken on all comers in the recruiting wars for the 2007 class. Gary Patterson and staff have recruited against some traditional heavy hitters and already found their share of success, and they're again up against some stiff competition in the hunt for West Monroe (La.) defensive lineman Luther Davis' commitment.

The 6-foot-3, 254-pound Daniels lists USC, LSU and Florida State as schools that are standing out, with Miami, TCU, Texas, Michigan, Tennessee, Auburn and Ole Miss closely following.

A combination of factors have helped TCU land on Davis' map, including the recent success that the football team has put together and some input he's received from another Louisianian who suits up for the Frogs.
