Tech taking a look at SC lineman
Columbia, S.C., Spring Valley prospect Kyle Fischer has begun to see increased interest from major Division I schools following the recent commitment of Quintin Richardson to South Carolina.
As is often the case, when one prospect goes off the board, a new name arises quickly. Fischer stands 6-foot-6, 285-pounds and projects as an offensive tackle at the next level.
"Quintin is definitely the more athletic between the two of them," Spring Valley Coach Jimmy Noonan said to HokieHaven.com. "But, Quintin may not get much bigger and may move to the defensive side of the football given his athleticism. Kyle, on the other hand, is a very lean 285 pounds and could easily support upwards of 350 pounds at the college level. He's going to continue to get a lot bigger in my opinion."
Fischer holds an early offer from N.C. State and is beginning to receive interest from South Carolina, Clemson, Virginia, Wake Forest, Virginia Tech, and Miami.
