Stupar is playing his cards close to the vest

State College, Pa., linebacker and tight end Nathan Stupar is one of the top players in Pennsylvania for 2007.


Stupar, whose older brother Jon is a rising junior at UVa, has now racked up 10 scholarship offers.


Virginia, led by assistant coach Bob Price, is recruiting Stupar as an inside linebacker in its 3-4 defense.


"I am just working out, preparing for next season. I have my weight up to 225 pounds. I am just ready to put on the pads and start hitting people," Stupar said with a laugh.


Recruiting is not at the forefront for Stupar just yet.


"I just think it is a little early to focus on it. I do think about it, but I am not in any hurry to make a decision."
