Hawaiian DT adds another
Hawaii is a long way away from the power schools of division I college football, but Kahuku defensive tackle Kaniela Tuipulotu isn't letting that slow him down. The standout tackle from Kahuku (Hawaii) has already netted six offers from various DI schools and just added another from New Mexico to his growing list of schools vying for his services.
So overall how would Tuipulotu rate his recruitment up to this point? "(It's) going pretty good - getting a lot of letters. I got like six offers already."
Out of the five schools that have offered thus far the young recruit says one leads over the others.
"I like Oregon St. a lot, I just took an unofficial visit. I went to check out the campus and visit my family that lives there. I checked it out with a couple of my friends. It was great, they're very nice. The community and everything is just like over here, very small and they're all into football."
Says Tuipulotu, "I kind of recently wanted to try and go and make a name for myself by going to a college where no one from Hawaii has gone to yet. New Mexico just offered me the other day."
