Seward recaps trip to Tech
Westminster athlete Cameron Seward made the short trip to Georgia Tech over his weekend and his interest in his hometown school is at an all-time high.
JacketsOnline.com caught up with the 6-foot-1, 190-pound athlete shortly after he returned home from visiting with the Yellow Jackets. His next trip is to Boston College on April 6 but he was still thinking about Tech when we caught up with him.
"It was good," Seward said of the junior day over the weekend. "I got a tour of all the facilities. I had already seen most of the football side of things from being at the games. I got to see more of the academic side of the campus this time around.
"I talked to coach Owens mostly because he's my area recruiting. He's been recruiting me a lot since last year. He's been the one recruiting other kids committed to them from my school.
"I talked to coach Roof, the defensive coordinator, and I also spoke a little bit to coach McCollum and coach Speed. Basically all the defensive coaches."
Seward obviously has a high interest in Georgia Tech but there are other schools he likes as well. Boston College has been recruiting him hard spanning two coaching staffs in Chestnut Hill. He has also visited Duke and Mississippi State recently. His father attended Duke.
Does he have any favorites?
"As I sort out the visits I'm starting to get an idea. I don't think I've gotten all the answers from all the schools so I can't say I have a favorite yet," he said. "But it's starting to sort of form."
