JUCO wing commits to Tulsa

Tulsa basketball coaches scoured the junior college ranks looking to fill its final open scholarship in the 2013 class, and on Friday, the Hurricane picked up a commitment from a tough, scoring guard.

6-foot-4 Marquel Curtis of Williston State Community College in North Dakota was an NJCAA All-American as a freshman last season, scoring 22.4 points per game and averaging 5.7 rebounds and 2.6 assists. While he became known as a big-time scorer, his defense needed improvement, and he took that to heart over the past year.
