The series with UGA is tied at 52-games apiece with Georgia winning the last three meetings. Mississippi State is 18-27 in games played in Athens including 3-7 in their last 10 games there.
UGA claimed both matchups last season winning a 70-68 overtime outing in Starkville and then knocking MSU out of the SEC Tournament with a 71-61 victory. Shooting guard Jalen Steele paced State in their last game against Georgia with 19 points hitting 4-of-9 from 3-point range.
Rick Ray's squad is 6-7 on the year and are 1-0 so far in league play following a thrilling 56-54 win over South Carolina at home on Wednesday. MSU did not have a single trey in that game, snapping a streak of 262 consecutive games without a 3-pointer.
