Junior running back Thomas to visit this weekend
East Paulding (Ga.) running back Kamani Thomas grew up a fan of Michigan, and this weekend he'll get to see his favorite school in action when he visits Ann Arbor for the Wolverines' game against San Diego State.
According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Thomas has plenty of connections to Michigan. Not only is he a fan, but he has family in the state.
He's very high on Michigan, but hasn't heard much from their coaches yet. He's letting his father deal with the recruiting process for now.
When he's in Ann Arbor, Thomas will finally get his chance to interact with Michigan's coaches. Brady Hoke won't be the first big name Thomas has met. According to the AJC, he already holds offers from Vanderbilt, Mississippi State, Southern Miss, and Troy, and he has taken an unofficial visit to Alabama, where he met Nick Saban. He will also take an unofficial trip to Georgia later this fall.
Thomas missed the first three games of his junior season with turf toe, but returned last weekend. He ran for 142 yards on 22 carries in a 35-0 East Paulding win over Kell, scoring a touchdown in the blowout win.
The Wolverine will have more from Thomas following his visit this weekend.
