Ward and Graham Lead Talented Lawton Squads

LAWTON, Okla. - For years the staff at has contended that Oklahoma prospects rarely, if ever, get their due until they hit the college ranks and have everyone scratching their head about 'where did this guy come from?'. And while the entire state may not always receive the credit it's due for turning out division one football talent Lawton is one area that most who know the state realize has an uncanny knack for not just turning out top quality prospects, but elite college players and future NFL types.

Whether you talk about former Outland trophy winner and current Washington Redskin Jammal Brown from Lawton MacArthur, certain future hall-of-famer Will Shields from Lawton high, or Lawton Eisenhower's collection of former Sooners Martin Chase and Larry Birdine, it's clear Lawton has as strong a track record of NFL talent as any locale in the state.

All three Lawton schools boast serious division one talent in the class of 2012 but it's the class of 2013 in the city that has folks buzzing, particularly about MacArthur running back Darius Graham and Lawton defensive end D.J. Ward.
