Even though most of the attention across the Southeastern Conference is on national signing day today two of the SEC West's top programs will do battle on the hardwood tonight.
Mississippi State will venture across the state line to take on Alabama in Tuscaloosa tonight with a 7 p.m. tipoff. The Crimson Tide are currently leading the league with a 5-1 slate while MSU is third in the West with a 3-3 mark.
The two teams have already met earlier this season with Alabama coming away with a 75-57 victory in Starkville on Jan. 8 in the first conference matchup for either school. That game marked the season debut of Dee Bost and the return of Renardo Sidney following a two-game suspension. They finished with 14 and two points respectively.
The win pushed the Tide ahead 113-72 in the all-time series although State has claimed six of the last 10 contests. The Bulldogs have however struggled at Coleman Coliseum with an 8-34 mark in that arena. To make matters even tougher, Alabama is a perfect 11-0 on their home floor this season.
