Desir talks SU visit

Before the weekend was in full swing the Orange added a Miami product to their commitment list and they were not done talking with prospects from that city. After that commitment the Orange hosted two other Miami prospects and one of them was Ritchy Desir.

"The Syracuse visit was cool it was a good experience and I experienced new things. I saw snow for the first time."

Desir, 6-foot-1, 175 pounds encountered one experience that he had never had to deal with and that was the snow in Syracuse. He also talked about if the weather of a school would impact his decision.

"The snow stuck out. It was cool because I am from Miami so I don't see that. It was real cool," Desir stated. "The weather at a school will not factor into my decision."

One thing that had him getting over the cold weather was his host.

"Phillip Thomas he is a safety. We got along well because he is from Miami and he plays safety, so he was just showing me the ropes."

Not only was talking with Thomas helpful for the Miami product, but the talking he did with everybody else helped him out.

"My favorite part of the trip was just getting to know the coaches and the players. We just really hung out and talked."

Another item that stuck out for Desir was the crowd Syracuse had at their basketball game on Saturday night.

"I thought the fans in the Dome were real nice. They really get excited up there and that's cool."

On the Syracuse visit did the idea of committing to the Orange enter into Desir's head?

"I did not think about committing. I was just trying to use it as an experience to see new things and get a feel for everything."

With one visit down the three star prospect has not set anything up yet when it comes to visiting another school.

"As of right now I do not have any other visits set."

Even though he still has some visits left to take he has an idea of when he wants to commit to a school.

"I will make my decision probably around signing day."
