Mississippi State will be searching for a replacement for Jarvis Varando down low but has plenty of question marks in the frontcourt heading into the season.
The Bulldogs struggled with depth in the post all of last season due to Renardo Sidney missing the entire year while waiting on his eligibility results from the NCAA, John Riek missing the first nine games while serving an NCAA mandated suspension and Elgin Bailey playing in only four games while recovering from ankle and knee injuries.
With Sidney's suspension stretching nine games into this year, Bailey's health is even more of a concern. The 6-foot-8, 276-pound junior has played in 62 games during his MSU career averaging 2.6 points and 1.8 rebounds as a reserve behind Varnado.
