SU still watching Wasonga?

Doug Marrone and his staff at Syracuse are putting together a solid recruiting class, but they are still looking for that big name to join up. The Orange have offered four star prospect Allan Wasonga, could he be that player?

"As far as a school I am looking at Syracuse I haven't committed anywhere. I am looking at whoever has offered me and whoever wants to talk with me I have open ears."

Wasonga, 5-foot-8, 196 pounds has had his Syracuse offer for a few months, but still does not know much about the Orange. Despite not knowing much about Syracuse he likes how they started off the season.

"I have not taken a visit to Syracuse or anything like that yet. Right now they are doing pretty well in football and I like that right there. I have not taken a visit there yet, so I just don't know a lot about them right now."

Will the number one ranked prospect in the state of West Virginia visit the Orange?

"I am not really sure I have to talk with my dad about it and see where he wants to go with it."

When it comes to taking a visit to Syracuse it all depends on what kind of interest Syracuse is showing when it comes time for Wasonga to take his visits.

"It would definitely depend on the interest level they show me and then as far as that I would have to pursue it more. Definitely interest level is huge. Whoever is interested in me as a player then I will be interested back."

For Syracuse and other programs there is time to make a recruiting push because Wasonga is not ready to make any decisions at this time.

"I have not really thought about that. It is definitely going to be after the season because I have playoffs coming up."

This season for the four star product he has battle injuries, but despite that he is having a solid season.

"My season is going all right I was out for the first two games with a hip flexor strain and I have been struggling with that all season. We are in week nine right now and I have played in seven games. This season though I have 860 yards and 11 touchdowns."
