Tulsa Team Report

Tulsa got the opponent and performance it needed after last week's crushing loss to rival Oklahoma State.

Now things seem back on track for the Golden Hurricane.

Against an overmatched team from the FCS, Tulsa played consistently well in all phases of the game. The Golden Hurricane rolled Central Arkansas 41-14 at home, officially making the 65-28 loss to Oklahoma State an unpleasant distant memory.

"It was good to get a win," Tulsa coach Todd Graham said. "I'm really proud of our guys. I feel like we came out and dominated a team that we should dominate. I'm really pleased with how our guys played defensively. I thought they really stepped up. Some of the guys that play up front - Tyrunn Walker and Odrick Ray -- were really standouts for us. I'm really pleased with the overall effort."

After the Oklahoma State loss there was talk that perhaps Tulsa had lost its swagger as a program.
