TU cornerbacks will be tested at ECU

Tulsa opens the season this afternoon at East Carolina, which is sporting a new offense this year. New head coach Ruffin McNeill took over the Pirate program after a long stint at Texas Tech, and he brought the Red Raiders pass-happy offense with him. The Golden Hurricane's relatively untested cornerbacks will be under fire.

Tulsa's entire secondary will rely on youth and inexperience in the two-deep; although the weak safety (bandit) and free safety spots are anchored by returning starters Charles Davis and Dexter McCoil. However, it is likely that it's the two cornerback positions that are giving the Tulsa secondary coaches the most heartburn heading into this game.
