Barclay defends 'hard edge'
MORGANTOWN--They played on almost every down last year, leading their offense to 186 yards on the turf, 190 through the air and 26 points per game. Their third-down efficiency number increased to 42 percent, a viable stat to measure toughness. Their team finished 9-4.
Yet there remain qualms about a newly experienced West Virginia offensive line which returns almost intact from a season ago. Only redshirt sophomore Jeff Braun finds himself in a new role as the starting right tackle, having played center and guard earlier.
