Omaha LB commits
The Iowa Hawkeyes have been after linebacker Cole Fisher since last November when they were the first team to offer him a scholarship during his junior year. The 6-foot-3, 190-pound Fisher stayed patient with the recruiting process, but kept coming back to the team that was there since the beginning. Today, the Omaha native decided he had waited long enough and made the call to give his verbal commitment.
In committing to Iowa, Fisher chose the Hawkeyes over a scholarship offer from Kansas. He also received interest from Nebraska, where his brother currently plays, and Stanford, among others.
Fisher, who plans to major in engineering at Iowa, carries a 3.8 grade point average and scored a 28 on the ACT.
