McIntosh holds two offers

Cleveland, Miss., safety Jahmel McIntosh has seen his recruitment pickup this spring.

The 6-foot-2, 195-pound prospect has a strong showing with six interceptions at the BadgerSports 7-on-7 event in Tuscaloosa and has a pair of early offers heading into the summer.

"Recruiting has been going good and a lot of schools have been coming by this spring," McIntosh said. "I just got my second offer and my first offer on paper from Memphis. Recruiting has been picking up ever since the 7-on-7 thing in Tuscaloosa. Things have been going good and I've been talking to a lot of coaches over the phone."

McIntosh's other offer is a verbal one from Mississippi State. The Bulldogs have told him that it could become official this summer after he attends their camp.

"Coach Melvin Smith is recruiting me and he told me that I'm a real good athlete and the type of player that they want in their program," McIntosh said. "He likes me because not only am I a good athlete but I'm good in the classroom and a great overall person. He just said that I could be one of those big time players that can play under the lights."

McIntosh attended several MSU games last season including the Florida and Ole Miss contests. The Egg Bowl appeared to have make quite an impression on the Magnolia State standout.
