Belton has been staying busy

Since the beginning of his junior season Bill Belton has solidified himself as one of the top prospects in New Jersey's Class of 2011, and the offers have been piling up.

Belton hasn't wasted any time in hitting the recruiting process with a full head of steam. The 5-foot-9, 191-pound athlete from Atco (N.J.) Winslow Township has been learning all he can about the schools recruiting him -- especially those that have offered.

The talented junior has been especially busy of late, visiting four schools over the past week or so, and doing all that travel on the weekends.

Belton was at Pittsburgh on Saturday, and he has also been to Louisville, Cincinnati and Rutgers within the past week. He spoke with Rivals.com about each one of those trips on Sunday.

"I went to Pitt's spring game and it went great," he said. "We woke up early that morning and went down to the football office. They took us on a tour of the facilities and showed us the campus. Then they showed us around town. They took us down on the field and we watched them warm up, and then they showed us the locker room. I got a chance to talk to coach (Dave) Wannstedt one-on-one and he met my parents. It was a great trip.

"I enjoyed Louisville, too. I went down with a teammate, Robert Mahan, and we both loved it down there. It's a nice city and Charlie Strong is coming in there and trying to rebuild the program. It would be nice to be a part of that.

"Cincinnati's campus is like it's own town. Everything's right there. The football stadium is right in the middle of campus. They're doing great things at Cincinnati. I love the offense they run. It's similar to Florida's. They put five wide (receivers) out there. I think I'd fit into that well.

"Rutgers is a good school. It's close to home. I went up there for a spring practice. They practice with a lot of intensity. The coaches work them hard and keep them moving forward."

Belton doesn't plan on slowing down any time soon. He will be attending spring games at Maryland and West Virginia very shortly. He said he has not picked up any new offers recently.

He went on to say that he will take all of his official visits before he makes his decision.
