Smith doing his research on U-M
Massillon (Ohio) Washington High is one of the most storied prep football programs in the country, and Michigan has tapped into their talent pool several times of the years, most recently with cornerback J.T. Turner in the class of 2009. The Wolverines are pursuing another Tiger in the class of 2011 in wide receiver Devin Smith.
The 6-1, 175-pound Smith received an offer via fax from Michigan head coach Rich Rodriguez last month. He has not been able to follow up with the Michigan coaching staff since that offer, but he did speak with Turner earlier this week about the Wolverines.
